Save 34% on the superb OnePlus Nord phone for Prime Day

While you can easily spend four figures on a top-of-the-range smartphone, OnePlus’ mission has long been to prove that you don’t have to. And with the OnePlus Nord, the company offered something pretty compelling for much less than the price of even its own flagship handsets.

For Prime Day, it’s even more compelling than usual with a discount of up to 34% off the normal asking price.

Normally starting at £379.99 for the version with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage, for one day only, Amazon is selling the black handset for £305.99 or the sky blue version for an even more competitive £291.99.

But frankly, we’d recommend spending a little bit more for a whole lot more grunt. The model with 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage gets an even bigger discount, dropping from £469 to just £307.99 – a whopping 34% discount of £161. Frankly, you’re unlikely to notice the extra RAM, but doubling the storage is vital in a phone that doesn’t have a microSD card slot.

Whichever version you get, though, you’re getting a brilliant smartphone without breaking the bank. The handset uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, packs a 90Hz 6.44in AMOLED screen and comes with four cameras on the back. Not quite top tier specs, but very competitive indeed for the price.

“The OnePlus Nord, certainly, is one of the best-looking phones we’ve come across at this price,” wrote Reviews editor Jon Bray in our review. “The specification is great, the battery life is very good and the camera isn’t bad at all.”

With a 34% discount, this is a no brainer for the price if you’re looking for an excellent phone without spending the world.
