Samsung unveils bonkers new Bespoke Jet AI Ultra vacuum cleaner

Samsung is continuing its expansion into the smart home cleaning sector with its latest vacuum release – the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra. I got a first look – and feel – of the new smart vacuum at its launch event last week.

While on the surface I didn’t think the AI Jet Ultra looked all that different from the 2023 Bespoke Jet AI or even the Bespoke Pro Jet Extra, this model does come with a couple of significant changes from its AI predecessor.

Perhaps the biggest of these is the claim that this is now the most powerful vacuum cleaner on the market, when in Jet mode. In fact, Samsung claims this has almost double the suction power of some other Bespoke models.

I got the chance to try out the Ultra during the event and found it to be highly manoeuvrable and comfortable to use, even as a very short person. The main body is height adjustable without any attachments and weighs just 150g – even with the man brush head attached, I found it to be very lightweight. It still comes with a plethora of accessories too, including a pet tool and led brush, all of which can be stored on the included accessory stand.

The vacuum’s floor detection has also been given an upgrade. While it technically still only detects five different floor types like its predecessor, Samsung has said this upgraded version will be able to detect different carpet types (short pile or long pile) based on brush load and air pressure. Alongside this, the filters have been given a makeover, with the Ultra now including HEPA filtration. This all sounds very good, but we’ll have to wait until we can get our hands on it to see how it really performs.

For those interested in the Ultra’s intelligent side, they can expect more of the same in terms of smart home integration. This includes compatibility with the Smart Things app, which alerts you to calls and texts and will even automatically turn off your vacuum when these come through – it’s worth noting this isn’t a mandatory feature, though.

The Bespoke Jet AI Ultra is available to buy now in black for £1,119 at Samsung and in mint green at John Lewis for a discounted price of £960 until 21 April 2025.
