LG continued its smartphone push with the Spectrum Android-powered smartphone, which has an HD screen.
With a 4.5in1,280×720 IPS display, the Spectrum catches up with existing Samsung Galaxy Nexus. LG claims that its RGB Striping technology makes for the best colours and says that the Spectrum is ideal for video.With a 1,280×720 screen the LG Spectrum catches up with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.As LG’s flagship phone, the Spectrum has fully loaded and has a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, and ships with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), although there will be an upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the near future.
It’s also an LTE (4G) handset, so it remains to be seen if this handset will be available in the UK as a 3G version, due to LTE unlikely to made available until next year at the earliest.
Other specs include an 8-megapixel rear camera that can shoot 1080p video, while a lower-resolution front-facing camera is there for video calling. The 8-megapixel rear camera can shoot 1080p video.It looks pretty interesting, although we’re not entirely sure about the case with a clock built into the front of it. We’re not to sure that this case adds anything to the phone.
This handset was announced alongside the virtualised Android handset, which runs two versions of the mobile operating system: one for home and one for work.
