Amazon’s Prime Early Access Sale (or Prime Day 2, as we’re calling it) is underway. While the endless deluge of discounts thunders on, we’ve been keeping a close eye on deals under £50; after all, times are tight, and as such we want to help make your money go as far as it possibly can.

As it happens, there are a huge number of deals under £50 available at Amazon right now. We’ve been busy cherry-picking the best ones we’ve found: from electric heaters to headphones and chocolate to scotch, what follows is our pick of the best deals under £50.

Don’t forget: you’ll need to be an Amazon Prime member to take advantage of these discounts. You can sign up for its 30-day free trial using the button below.

It’s a bit mad that I’m even typing this, but an electric heater is a great investment if you want to stay warm this winter without pushing up your energy bills. This Russell Hobbs model is our favourite budget heater, and it’s currently a ridiculously low £30 at Amazon.

Making your own fresh bread needn’t be expensive, as this Morphy Richards bread maker proves. For £36 you’re getting a remarkably rapid bread maker that’s perfect for white loaves. It’s our favourite bread maker under £100 and it’s a steal this Prime Day.

Tired of waking up to condensation every morning? This Bosch window vac ranks among our favourites for dealing with streaky, wet windows: with a 30 minute battery life, a powerful suction motor and a host of extra attachments, this is an exceptional-value window vacuum.

There’s nothing glamorous about batteries, but they’re an essential purchase, so you might as well hunt around for a great deal. We’re very impressed by the value represented by this discount on a 40 pack of AA batteries from GP, a brand that made our roundup as the best for low costs and solid performance.

Like batteries, dishwasher tablets are another slightly boring essential, but there’s no arguing with the savings to be had on this pack of 90 Finish tabs. If you’re going to spend money on one thing this Prime Day, why not make it something useful?

Looking for the absolute cheapest pair of earbuds we’d recommend? Look no further than these 1MORE wireless earbuds, now just £15. The PistonBuds retain the noise cancelling technology of their more expensive Pro siblings and

Our favourite budget wireless earbuds, the 1MORE PistonBuds Pro represent excellent value for money even at RRP. With wear detection and even active noise cancellation, the PistonBuds Pro sound good for the price and have a solid 30-hour battery life.

Logitech’s MX Master mice have featured on our list of the best mice for some time. The MX Master 2S is a great example of a high-end wireless mouse: it’s great to use, with a ridiculous battery life and support for copy-paste across multiple devices. It’s also incredibly cheap right now at Amazon.

It may not be the most earth-shattering price drop you’ll see in this Prime Day sale, but this is the cheapest that the TP-Link Tapo Smart Plug has ever been. Compatible with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, these plugs allow you to expand your smart home functionality, turning on appliances like lamps and fans with voice control.

Our favourite budget blended scotch whisky is currently available for a ridicously low £19. This is a rich, heavy whisky with a slightly sweet aftertaste: whether you have an occasion in the calendar or are simply looking for another way to stay warm on a cold evening (which, as responsible people, we probably shouldn’t advise) this is a great deal.

If you’re looking for a good gift for a child (or a big kid) this box of Cadbury milk chocolate is a surefire win. Containing ten different varities of Dairy Milk chocolate, this gift box contains three three bags and seven chocolate bars.

Electric toothbrush deals are few and far between, even during a deals event such as this one, which is partly why this discount on the Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 4300 is worth your time. With a bundled travel case, pressure detection and a host of brushing modes, this is a fantastic toothbrush for a very good price.

An affordable entry-level fitness tracker, the Fitbit Inspire 2 was already great value for money, but thanks to Amazon’s Prime Early Access Sale it’s a bona fide bargain. It has a full suite of fitness tracking tools and will show notifications from your phone.

There’s nothing high-tech about this Salomon hydration belt, but it’s nevertheless an essential purchase for any experienced runner, especially at £28. It includes a pouch with one flask inside that has a 25ml capacity.

The Amazon Echo is a hugely popular smart speaker and the best official route to full Alexa support. It’s usually on sale over deals events such as these, but that doesn’t diminish the exceptional value on offer here: if you want to control your smart home appliances and set endless timers with your voice, the Echo Dot is the way to do it.

If you’d like to upgrade your telly and watch your favourite shows in glorious 4K, the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is a great way to do it. It’s now just £30 at Amazon, which is a cracking price for a streamer that has long featured on our best streaming stick roundup.

From Dr. No to Spectre, this 24-disc James Bond collection is an excellent Christmas present and the perfect way to catch up before you finally get around to watching Daniel Craig’s latest (and final) outing as 007, No Time To Die.

If Rings of Power has you itching to rewatch the trilogy that introduced Lord of the Rings to modern audiences, this exceptional discount on the Extended Edition of Peter Jackson’s monumental fantasy epic is the way to go. Just be prepared to give up an entire day to watching them back-to-back.
